Behind the Scenes

The bulk of the production work during my time at Gibson TV was done by a close-knit team of local film professionals. These talented individuals include Patrick Churvis, Andrew Paslay, Anthony Ferrara, Fred Munoz, Austin Nelson, Jim Cannella, Connor Gilmore, Watson Isbell, Grant MacAllister, Brian Reeder, Rose Kwong, Rad Colley, Stevie Thrasher, Sarah Remetch, and many others over the years.

Within Gibson, Simona Vackova, Brigid O'Connell, Beth Heidt, Rae Vinton and Mark Agnesi all helped shape the vision. Brigid has directed many episodes across the catalog. Simona, in-house producer and editor kept the train on the tracks. Rae brought in new and exciting talent and Beth led with her calm, confident wisdom. Mark connected with the audience directly. None of this would have been possible without the vision of Caesar Guiekan, to start and fund a media channel in the first place. Finally, from day one, Todd Harapiak was poised to become brand director of media. Beginning as the company's in-house producer, he is also an accomplished director across the catalogue. As much as anyone, his vision shaped the channel. It continues today under his direction.

I continue to collaborate with many of the individuals listed above. Anthony Ferrara has directed the Desert Daze and Festival of Tabla media teams for years, and I have worked as a cam op for him on many occasions. He's my first call when I need a cam op for Pussy Riot. He flew the drone for Putin's Ashes . Patrick Churvis is a master of light, one of the most talented DPs I have ever worked with. He is my first call when I need a DP. Drew Paslay is an excellent director, DP, cam op, drone pilot, and actor. Grant McAllaster is a powerhouse of a DP and a patient teacher. Jim Cannella could teach a masterclass on directing a positive set for excellent results. I could go on all day on the strengths and talents of every member of the team. Filmmaking is a team sport, and I have had the good fortune of working alongside a tremendous depth of talent.
